Here are some well known and my tips on eyeshaddow - applying, tips and tricks, enjoy!
To get longer lasting eyeshaddow apply an eye primer before applying your eyeshaddow, some people might not need a primer or like to use one everyday but it does help prevent your eye shadow from creasing, fading or moving around and will also make your eye shadow appear more vibrant.
Eye primer is realy a must have item if you suffer from oily eyelids and find your eyeshaddow just practicly is non existant and slides off.
Eye primer is widely available in many difgerent brands (eg Urban Decay Primer Potion is a very popular primer) but you can also use a cream based neautral eyeshaddow or concealer that matches your own eyelid tone as a base, this i find alot easier in day to day makeup if your in a hurry you can apply while concealing.
When it comes to choosing eyeshaddow, for everyday i would suggest a neautral tone something like a nice cream/taupe colour with only a very slight sheen to it (you dont want to much shimmer or glitter on your eyelid) add this all over the lid and choose a frosted white colour to add only to the inner tear duct area (the part nearest your nose to the inner area of your eye) and a tiny bit just underneath, running along your eyebrow shape, this will instantly open your eyes making them look fresh and awake (even if your feeling so tired lol)
Choose a slightly darker shade to your original colour on your eye lid and place this to the outer corner of your eye lid and using a fluffy brush blend this inwards in small circular motions, you only need a tiny amount so dont go overboard this will just define the eye more giving it a bit more depth, dimension and shape, all very easy and simple for everyday.

Burts bees lip balm
Here is a quick post on my favourite lip balm to carry around in my bag.
It is the Burts Bees tube lip balm in mango.
I had heard alot about Burts Bees but honestly never realy wanted to try anything as i assumed everything would smell like honey,(which im not a big fan of) i was wrong to see they do other scents and even although the range does smell a tad bit 'honey like' its not sickening (if you get what i mean) and also my friend highly recomended the baby care range for her little one.
The lip balm was one thing i was dying to try as id heard lots of good comments about it and as my lips were in dyer need of some good nourishment - as i live in Scotland the weather is manic and my poor lips were so chapped at this point i couldnt find anything that would work on them.
The standard lip balms come in a few different scents/tastes they are a twist up tube and the product is clear and on application, the packaging is basic and sticks to the Burts Bees style - yellow and orange. I chose the nourishing lip balm with mango butter and it is so yummy!
The scent is so fresh yet it is nourishing and instantly felt amazing on my lips, it straight away helped my chapped lips and i just wanted to keep applying more and more, overall i am very happy and still am days later so i will be definatley buying the other flavours to try out.
These are a must have for every handbag/car and bedside table.
You can purchase these direct from www.burtsbees.com or www.debenhams.com

YSL Touche Eclat complexion highlighter
If you havent heard or tried this product then you must be living on another planet... it is of course Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Complexion Highlighter.
The world renowed complexion highlighter is voted the UK's No.1 Luxury Beauty Product (by in style readers) for light, luminosity and radiance, with its take-anywhere pen-brush applicator, this product is amazing for adding a touch of light or banishing shadows and signs of fatigue from the under eye area, the hollow of the chin, the contour of the lips and the sides of the nose, best of all i 'always' use this to highlight the tops of my cheek bones it adds a gorgous glow to your cheeks making you look younger without looking 'shiny'.
It is now available in a wide range of shades to suit all complexions, but do visit a makeup counter and get matched with the correct shade as some have very pink undertones and yellow undertones so be sure to check what suits you first before purchasing.
I prefer to stick with the original and this lasts me for ages.
I have purchased this product many times and it is a staple piece to my makeup, i highly recommend this.
You can purchase it almost everywhere, debenhams, John Lewis, House of Frasers or direct from YSL, it its retails around £25 which seems alot for the size but believe me if you only use a tiny amount were needed it will last you for ages.

Avon delivery has arrived, see what products i bought
I love it when my Avon delivery arrives! I can never resist buying things for myself even though im supposed to be making money i always end up spending it! Oh well it saves me buying other things.. Or does it..
Anyway i cant resist a bargain and when i see something on sale or i get the opportunity to buy things cheaper of course im going to buy them!
Anyway moving on, this is just a quick show of what i bought and i will do reviews once i try them out a bit and give my opinion if i like them and get on ok with them.
So, my order came and as per i always forget what i ordered and when i see the amount i forget how much i end up throwing in my order basket without even writting it down!
So this month i tried to focus on skincare to try out and i bought a few planet spa products, I got a thailand lotus flower deep pore cleansing face mask 75ml initialy this looks a great size and smells amazing.
Next up is a small 15ml japanese sake and rice refreshing eye smoother which at 15 ml is big for an eye cream so looks like this will last.
And lastly out of the planet spa section i picked up an African shea buter hand and cuticle cream, this is a 75ml tube.
I also picked up two products from the Solutions skincare range one being the Perfect tone night correcting cream, i have heard great reviews on the solutions day cream so i thought i would give this one a try, i also ordered the solutions sensitive botanicals gentle eye cream with an spf 15.
And lastly grabbed two small bottles of the skin so soft- soft and fresh dry oil spray.
Thats all for skincare I will let you know how i get on with these products.
I lastly bought two makeup products one being my favourite lipstick range from Avon, its the ultra colour rich white gold lipstick in shimmering nude and a glimmerstick liquiglide eye lineer in graphite.
I have put photos and swatches below, i am happy with what i have seen so far and as i said i will keep you up to date on what i think of these products.

How to get a quick basic smokey eye look
Heres some steps to get a quick basic smokey eye look:
Start by lining the upper lid with a kohl pencil - kohl's are always better as they are softer and easier to smudge, next add a bit more starting from the outer corner and smudging pulling it up slightly above the lash line always keeping to the outer corner of the eye, smudge by using a brush or cotton bud.
Apply a neutral eye shadow (beige, or light pink- avoid shimmer eyeshaddows) to the entire lid up to the brow bone, then use a flat brush to apply a medium shade of eye shadow to the lower lid, blending it up to the crease with a fluffy brush.
With a small smudge brush, brush a line of the dark eye shadow across the lash line, on top of the eyeliner and blend it up using light circular motions, smudging the line between the dark and medium eye shadows.
Finish by adding some eye liner to the bottom outer corner of the lashes to add definition and even the eye out.

Applying lip liner
Lip liner has so many great benefits, it can give the illusion of lips looking bigger, more even and also helps lipstick last longer, all when used in the right way.
Here are my tips on a good lip liner application.
You want to choose a lip liner that matches your lips natural shade, always sharpen the pencil before each use to remove bacteria, another quick tip before you start is to warm the pencil up on the back of your hand first to soften the product giving a comfortable application.
Start by lightly drawing a thin line that follows your upper lip line, angling the pencil for a soft application. Do this with delicate strokes, starting from the outer corners of your lips and moving to the center, Repeat on the lower lip. Lightly shade in the rest of your lips with the pencil this gives a good base for your lipstick and helps it last longer. Finaly you can apply a lipstick and blot any excess product off

Laduree macaroons
Everyone has been raving about the Laduree cafes famous for there macaroon tea cakes, Laduree is originaly from Paris and now have cafes around the world, while i was in London i new i definately wanted to try these cakes as i am a majour sweet toothed girl!
We found a small cafe which we managed to grab a table outside, they only had three tables i the whole place so we ordered our coffees and we t inside to choose our cakes, they are neatly arrange in there many different flavours all bright pastel colours also. This got to me as they didnt offer any samples to try and as there was so many to choose from and all at £1 odd for one it was hard to pick, me and my
mum got three each and decided to half them to see which we liked. To be honest i realy wasnt a fan and im dissapointed i didnt like them, as i said i have a sweet tooth but these were very sweet and most had two flavours together which i didnt think they went well, but thats just my opinion, i did however like a plain strawberry marshmallow one.
They have a soft crisp outer with a flavoured filling or a marshmallow centre.
