Estee Lauder delux all over Blush compact

Keeping with the Estee Lauder theme from my last post on my Estee Lauder favourite at the moment lipstick, i have also been loving this amazing blush compact! I recieved this compact in a set and i dont think you can buy it individualy sorry if im wrong but i thought i would mention it anyway as i dont think it has every left my bag since i got it!

It is ideal for carrying in your handbag as its very compact, has a good size mirror with one bronzer and three silky power blushes from Estee Lauders signature range.
The bronzer (top left in pics) is in bronze goddess shade 01 and (top right) is blush shade pink kiss 02 & (bottom left) is in shade radiant peach 75 & (bottom right) is nude rose 11.

These are all perfect for any skin tone and neither have any shimmer.
I prefer to use the bronzer as a contour shade and the nude rose just above the contour bronzer with a switch up between the more pink'ier blushes on the apples of my cheeks.
They give of great pigmentation and with the blushes you only need a small amount, so this is set to last me a while!

As i said this mainly does live in my bag for touch ups when im out rather than my every morning makeup id use, but great and handy if needed while out especialy for nights out this fits into a clutchbag great x

My favourite high end lipstick of the moment

I have so many lipsticks all stored away in my makeup collection and usualy i throw a few in my bag and switch between them, so i thought i would do a post on my 'at the moment' favourite high end lipstick i have been carrying about in my bag. (i will also do a more budget version ive been using).

So where i live in Scotland has had some good weather this past week and ive found myself reaching for brighter shades, more so its been this one is from Estee Lauder, its from there pure colour long lasting lipstick rouge range (long name.. I wanted to give you the full description) in shade no 16 - candy shimmer.

This is a bold rose pink shade with a slight touch of a glossy sheen to it (no glitter) so when applied it has a lovely finish and not in anyway matt, the colour is great for adding a pop to your lips and with the added nourishment leaves your lips looking and feeling comfortable with the added bonus of a good lasting wear and no need for gloss.
It has a great colour to it but is also very wearable for throughout the day.

I havent tried any other colours in this range so i am not sure if any more neautral shades will all be as well wearing as this one but this certainly this has a good staying power.

The packaging is stunning, it is a gold shiny tube - very classic and sheek for carrying around and an all round lovely lipstick.

Excuse my photographs as my lipstick did get a bit melted with the lovely weather weve been having so it may look a bit out of place, (i know shame on me letting it go soft!) x

Treatment and tips to prevent chapped lips

There are many things that can cause chapped lips such as exposure to dry/cold air and exposure to sunlight, these can cause dehydration making lips chapped and fragile.

There are many products and ways to help prevent lips becoming chapped, these can include applying lip balm or lipstick - something to keep the lips soft and put some hydration back in, also applying a good lip sunscreen to help protect the lips from becoming damaged in sunlight and drinking more fluids.

Some chapped lip treatments can include over-the-counter lip balms, which contain beeswax and phenol, ingredients these help moisturize the lips and soothe irritation; and Vaseline, which contains the protective ingredient petrolatum, Lip balms containing aloe vera and vitamin E may also soothe dry lips.

Avoid "flavored" lip balms, which may increase irritation by encouraging you to lick your lips, and "medicated" lip balms, which may cause allergic reactions.

One of my all time favourite lip balms
is by burst bees, i have the mango one and it is to die for! I have did a blog post on this if you want to check it out x

Favourite everyday summer perfume from Coleen Rooney

Here is a quick post of my favourite everyday go to perfume of the moment.

A few months ago now when it was coming into spring/summer and i needed a new everyday handbag perfume, im the type of girl that does go through perfume and sprays like water! I love having one with me in my handbag and topping up troughout the day, its now a habit i think that if i cant smell it then ill spray more! (i dont overdo it tho as much as it sounds) this being said i alway end up picking a cheaper everyday perfume as i do use it so much.

For the last few months now i have been loving Colleen Rooney's summer fragrance, I always loved her original one in the same design though it was a purple packaging and now the summer version is more of a light floral scent brought out funny enough for summertime.

A friend had this first and i did love it on first try so i thought i would go and purchase it anyway, i saw this in Semi Chem for something crazy like £10! And grabbed it to try as it was so cheap for such a big bottle.

It is 100ml and in a large narrow glass bottle with a light orange colouring and orange lid, plain and simple design.
I did get this for a handbag spray which it is on the larger side realy to be carrying around but i do always have big day bags and if it is to clumpy then you can buy a travelo which allows you to pump your own perfume into a small travel spray bottle (£10 travelo in semi schem
Also)

I have had this for a few months now and i am halfway through now which has lasted me a long time considering it is used a few times daily and even though it is a glass bottle it is very sturdy - this has been thrown all around my bag and is still in one piece.

The scent is very light and floraly but not at all cheap or even to sweet like some floral sprays can smell like.

This to me is a great buy for everyday and i feel would suit everyone, i always get complimented on what im wearing and when people hear what it is they cant believe what it is.

Nails of the moment

Here is my latest nails of the moment post, I am heading to Liverpool for a friends hen weekend and i did her nails with a shade called Fashionista, this is a very dark purple which at first look it does look just about black but in bright lighting it looks a nice deep purple with a slight sparkle, we decided as it was her hen weekend to make it a bit more jazzy lol so i added a thin glitter layer to the top to add some sparkle

I am a mobile nail technician (aswel as Avon rep and office worker lol)
only now specialising in a gel polish nail product called 'Artistic colour gloss' this is a thin gel type polish that is applied similarly to normal nail polish but it is cured under a uv light, so it drys instantly - no need for waiting around trying not to smudge your nails! (a god send)
Another amazing part is they last up to two weeks which is amazing for holidays or just low maintenance nail colour (more info on my website below)
I have a range of shades and french polish along with nail gems and i am building up my collection to getting more.

At the moment i have on a shade called 'Posh' which funny enough was actualy re-named after the lady herself by the owner of Artistic colour gloss as it was one of her favourites to have done!

It is a nude shade with a slight pinky undertone but very slight in certain bright lights, it is an all round neautral yet classy colour and i love this for a change when i dont have anything to go very bright or vibrant for (normal working days)
I did this manicure on Tuesday for a trip to London for two days and i also have a communion on saturday so this will last the whole week and into next for when i will change to something more 'party time' for a hen weekend the following weekend.

I will update on what i choose for the hen weekend and also i will be doing maicures on a few friends for the communion and hen party so i will take photos to update on these also.

Eyeshaddow application, tips and tricks

Here are some well known and my tips on eyeshaddow - applying, tips and tricks, enjoy!

To get longer lasting eyeshaddow apply an eye primer before applying your eyeshaddow, some people might not need a primer or like to use one everyday but it does help prevent your eye shadow from creasing, fading or moving around and will also make your eye shadow appear more vibrant.
Eye primer is realy a must have item if you suffer from oily eyelids and find your eyeshaddow just practicly is non existant and slides off.

Eye primer is widely available in many difgerent brands (eg Urban Decay Primer Potion is a very popular primer) but you can also use a cream based neautral eyeshaddow or concealer that matches your own eyelid tone as a base, this i find alot easier in day to day makeup if your in a hurry you can apply while concealing.

When it comes to choosing eyeshaddow, for everyday i would suggest a neautral tone something like a nice cream/taupe colour with only a very slight sheen to it (you dont want to much shimmer or glitter on your eyelid) add this all over the lid and choose a frosted white colour to add only to the inner tear duct area (the part nearest your nose to the inner area of your eye) and a tiny bit just underneath, running along your eyebrow shape, this will instantly open your eyes making them look fresh and awake (even if your feeling so tired lol)

Choose a slightly darker shade to your original colour on your eye lid and place this to the outer corner of your eye lid and using a fluffy brush blend this inwards in small circular motions, you only need a tiny amount so dont go overboard this will just define the eye more giving it a bit more depth, dimension and shape, all very easy and simple for everyday.

Burts bees lip balm

Here is a quick post on my favourite lip balm to carry around in my bag.
It is the Burts Bees tube lip balm in mango.
I had heard alot about Burts Bees but honestly never realy wanted to try anything as i assumed everything would smell like honey,(which im not a big fan of) i was wrong to see they do other scents and even although the range does smell a tad bit 'honey like' its not sickening (if you get what i mean) and also my friend highly recomended the baby care range for her little one.

The lip balm was one thing i was dying to try as id heard lots of good comments about it and as my lips were in dyer need of some good nourishment - as i live in Scotland the weather is manic and my poor lips were so chapped at this point i couldnt find anything that would work on them.
The standard lip balms come in a few different scents/tastes they are a twist up tube and the product is clear and on application, the packaging is basic and sticks to the Burts Bees style - yellow and orange. I chose the nourishing lip balm with mango butter and it is so yummy!
The scent is so fresh yet it is nourishing and instantly felt amazing on my lips, it straight away helped my chapped lips and i just wanted to keep applying more and more, overall i am very happy and still am days later so i will be definatley buying the other flavours to try out.

These are a must have for every handbag/car and bedside table.

You can purchase these direct from www.burtsbees.com or www.debenhams.com
